DROP-OFF AND DISMISSAL (PK3 – 7th)
Parents must keep in mind that SLKF’s main priority during morning drop off and afternoon dismissal is safety for our students. Therefore, we ask that parents pay close attention to the following rules and regulations for both morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Thank you for your cooperation. THE SPEED LIMIT IN THE PARKING LOT IS 5 MPH. Parents utilizing the large parking lot should park along the yellow barricades. Be aware that there is no turn around towards the front of the parking lot (closest to the school building). The only way to exit the parking lot once you enter a row of parking is to pull into a parking spot and back out to reverse your direction. This allows a safe walking space between the yellow barricades and behind the cones in the front of the parking lot for our students and families to walk to their designated entry doors.
PK3 through 7th grade students will begin school at 8:00 A.M. SHARP! It is highly recommended that students get to school between 7:30 AM and 7:40 AM in the morning. Entry doors will be closed at 7:55am and students will be considered tardy at that time. Any student arriving after 7:55 am must be checked in BY A PARENT and receive a tardy slip in the front office located on Carrollton Avenue.
MORNING DROP-OFF (PK3 – PK4)
Parents and PK3-PK4 students will enter Marion Hall at the doors closest to the church and walk to their classrooms. Parents will say their goodbyes and give hugs at the classroom door as students enter their classrooms and begin their morning routine.
MORNING DROP-OFF (K – 4th GRADE)
A parent must accompany Kindergarten – 4th-grade students to the Marion Hall entrance closest to Lake Avenue. Students in 1st through 4th grades will then walk independently to their classrooms. 1st – 4th-grade parents will say their goodbyes and give hugs outside the entry door to Marion Hall, closest to Lake Avenue.
MORNING DROP-OFF (5TH – 7TH GRADE)
Middle School students will be dropped off on Carrollton Avenue between the church and the school office/rectory. A teacher will be stationed on duty to ensure that students exit the car safely and enter campus safely.
AFTERNOON DISMISSAL (PK3 – 7th)
Grades PK3 through 7th are dismissed at 3:20 PM except for Mondays. Monday dismissal is at 2:45 PM. Parents must park in the large parking lot and walk to their child’s designated pick-up spot. PK3-4th grade parents will walk to their child’s classroom for pick up. 5th-7th grade parents can pick up their students from The Lorio Center (SLKF Gym.) Students who are attending after care will report to aftercare at 3:00 pm on Mondays and 3:40 pm on Tuesdays – Fridays. Any students remaining on campus at these times will be signed into aftercare and charges will apply.
Parents picking up students from aftercare between 3:00 pm – 5:55 pm on Mondays or 3:40 pm – 5:55 pm on Tuesdays – Fridays may do so at the cafeteria entrance located on Poplar Street. A teacher will be stationed at the door and call your child for dismissal.

SLKF must have permission from a parent to repurchase items that were previously issued in past school years. Students’ verbal requests are not considered confirmation.
All new students and all students in a grade that requires a new item will be charged for the required items for that grade. (For example, ALL 3rd grade students will be charged for a “Recorder with Book” because it is the first year they are required to have that item. However, only new SLKF students in 4th grade or above will be charged for a “Recorder with Book” because they will not have this item from previous years.) Any returning students who require an item to be replaced due to loss or damage should contact Allise Angelo, SLKF Business Manager, via email at aangelo@slkfschool.com with a list of items that need to be REPURCHASED. There is no need to send an email for items that are required to purchase every year. The email is only for items that have been previously purchased but the student does not have that item to return to school this year. Students will lose either participation, conduct, or grade points (each teacher will follow their classroom rules/expectations) for not having school supplies in the classroom. It is imperative to contact Allise Angelo if items need to be repurchased for your child.
Parents’ FACTS account will be charged accordingly based on the total price of items that need to be purchased. Students will receive the items purchased at school during the first week of school. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU ARE NOT SET UP ON AUTO-PAY IN FACTS, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INVOICE WITH A DUE DATE FOR THE SUPPLIES PURCHASED AT SCHOOL. LATE PAYMENTS WILL INCUR A $50 LATE FEE. IF YOU ARE NOT SET UP ON AUTO-PAY IN FACTS, IT IS THE FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE PARTY’S RESPONSIBILITY TO SUBMIT PAYMENT.
